In news that will be of interest to anyone seeking cryptocurrency accountancy in Gibraltar,  it has been announced that Crypto Gibraltar will be held from Friday 8th October to Saturday 9th October 2021 in Gibraltar’s Ocean Village.

The event is set to physically bring together hundreds of crypto enthusiasts and investors for the first time since the onset of the pandemic, with parties, networking and conference sessions planned across the weekend.

An expanding reputation as a crypto destination

Gibraltar has already established a reputation as one of the world’s premier crypto centres, with one of its key distinctions being the establishment of the world’s first DLT regulatory framework in 2017. Much more recently, Gibraltar also issued the first banking license to a fully crypto bank.

Such advancements, according to Pete Burgess – the CEO of the firm behind the event – leave the territory “ideally placed to lead the next stage of crypto development.”

What can attendees expect at the event?

With the coronavirus crisis sadly still unfolding around the world, it goes without saying that ensuring the highest standards of safety and protection has been a key priority for the organisers of Crypto Gibraltar.

However, it greatly helps that the British Overseas Territory has such a strong track record in tackling the coronavirus outbreak, with Burgess observing that “Gibraltar has been at the forefront of COVID protection.”

Burgess continued: “[Gibraltar] is the most vaccinated country in the world with over 95% of its population over 16 years of age fully vaccinated.

“As a result, Gibraltar is on the UK Government’s green list, meaning anyone can travel from the UK to Gibraltar and back without having to quarantine.

“We’ll be applying all necessary and sensible precautions. There will be plenty of outdoor options as well as indoor, and the opportunity to mix with friends and connections for the first time in a very long time.”

How can I find out more about Crypto Gibraltar?

With Crypto Gibraltar set to see a wide range of major crypto organisations in attendance, as well as expert crypto speakers, investors and enthusiasts, the event will be a very significant one on the emerging calendar of non-virtual events as the world gradually recovers from the coronavirus situation.
