How is Gibraltar set to mark the coronation of King Charles III?

King Charles III’s coronation is soon approaching, and while it will certainly be a grand event in the United Kingdom, how will Gibraltar celebrate the new King’s coronation?
Given the prominence of the British monarchy, it is not surprising that people from around the world, particularly in the British Overseas Territories and the Commonwealth realms, are excited about the coronation.

The Gibraltarian Government has also confirmed events to celebrate the occasion
The Government of Gibraltar has announced that a Coronation Parade for the King will be held at Convent Place at 6pm on Wednesday 3rd May.
At the request of His Excellency the Governor, Vice Admiral Sir David Steel, and Chief Minister Fabian Picardo, the Coronation Parade will be organised by the Ministry of Defence (MOD), involving personnel from British Forces Gibraltar and members representing Gibraltar’s Essential Services.
Schools across Gibraltar have already been preparing for the coronation by planning and organising assemblies, garden parties, concerts, and more. The Governor and the Chief Minister will be visiting every school on Thursday 4th May to participate in the festivities.
Sir David and Mr Picardo have been invited to attend the King’s coronation and will travel to the United Kingdom to represent Gibraltar. The people of Gibraltar will be able to watch the coronation at Casemates Square, where a large screen will be installed that will live-stream the event.
